Here are the CDC guidelines for cancer screenings:

Breast Cancer

  • Who Should Be Screened: Women aged 50-74

  • How Often: Every 2 years


Cervical Cancer

  • Who Should Be Screened: Women aged 21-65

  • How Often: Every 3 years (or every 5 years if combined with HPV testing)


Colorectal Cancer

  • Who Should Be Screened: Adults aged 45-75

  • How Often: Every 10 years (for colonoscopy) or more frequently depending on risk factors


Lung Cancer

  • Who Should Be Screened: Adults aged 50-80 with a history of heavy smoking

  • How Often: Annually


Dr. Forman shared insights on these guidelines and the importance of consulting with healthcare providers to create personalized screening plans.
